7 Day Detox
Losing Weight Using The 7 Day Detox Plan
Obesity is slowly but surely reaching epidemic proportions. Everywhere you look, many people are already starting to show signs of becoming overweight. Middle aged men become a little more pronounced right at the midsection. The sad thing is, cases of obesity are also increasing among our children. This is alarming, because all of us know what obesity often leads to. Hypertension, heart disease and diabetes are the illnesses often associated with obesity, and it’s unfortunate to note that these diseases make no exception of overweight children too.
Battling obesity is not an easy task, but it is not impossible. We can contribute greatly to the fight against obesity by making an effort to lose excess weight ourselves. And with the many available options when it comes to losing weight, it is certain that we will somehow succeed in this endeavor.
Over the decades, dozens of diet programs have been formulated and introduced to the populace. All these diets claim to work wonders for a user’s weight loss efforts, but few actually delivered on that promise. One of those diet programs that do bring results is the 7 Day Detox Diet.
The 7 day detox diet, however, is more than just a way to lose weight. As its name implies, the plan is regarded as a really good way to flush out any harmful substances from our system. In this diet plan, the detoxification of the bloodstream, the kidneys, colon, lungs, skin and lymphatic system is also a primary goal. Eventually, when the detoxification is complete, a person will enjoy the benefits of an improved immune system, and of course, weight loss.
In the 7 day detox diet, users are expected to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. As a matter of fact, fruits and vegetables should comprise 90% of a user’s food intake for the week-long duration of the program. An important feature of the program is the all fruit breakfast made up of bananas, apples, strawberries, papaya, grapefruit, pears, blueberries, and avocados, all of which are rich in fiber. On the other side of the coin are the foods that need to be avoided at all cost, such as those that contain trans fats, simple sugars and empty carbohydrates. Strict adherence to the program is called for, but since it is but natural for anyone on the program to feel pangs of hunger in the first few days, they can take healthy snacks like fat free yogurt or almonds to relieve those cravings.
Anyone on the 7 day detox diet is also advised to take supplements on a regular basis. As long as the supplements are natural, they can prove to be very useful in helping the body eliminate much of the junk and other by products that accumulate within our body.
But before going on any kind of detox diet, it would be wise to ask your doctor about it first. If your doctor declares that your health can handle the detoxification process, then that would be the time you embark on the diet that will change your life forever.
